Sugar Beet Root Yield and Quality with Leaf Seasonal Dynamics in Relation to Planting Densities and Nitrogen Fertilization

This study aimed to analyze the seasonal dynamics of sugar beet leaf and root yield quality in different plant populations nitrogen fertilization rate. The field trials were set as four planting densities (60,000 140,000 plants ha?1) three spring rates: no fertilization, pre-sowing (45 kg ha?1 N), with top dressing (99 N 2014 85.5 2015. changes growth done measuring area (LA), index (LAI), specific (SLA), ratio (LAR). highest LAI was determined on 30 July at (9.35 m2 m?1) 2015 20 June 100,000 (4.83 m?2). In both years, SLA LAR end May. relation density, higher had average yield, sucrose content, white yield. resulted (95.0 t (11.4 ha?1), whereas content after (14.9%).
